Allan J. Birmantas

Allan J. Birmantas, 86, of Kewanee, Illinois, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Royal Oaks Nursing Home, Kewanee.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Allan John Birmantas was born July 4, 1936, in Kaunas, Lithuania, the son of Eugene and Aldona Bezaviuciute Birmantas. He served in the U.S. Air Force and married Carolyn Jobe on September 3, 2003, in Sandusky, Ohio.

He worked for Uarco Printing as a service rep for many years. He was also a trumpet player and played in the Air Force Band. He was a history buff and an avid Chicago Cubs’ fan.

Allan is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn; five children, Lynda Beam, Allan (Shellie) Birmantas, Jr., Suzan (Edward) Kosterski, Aldona Birmantas, and Richard Birmantas; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
