Billy Joe Dufur, 77, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at home.
Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.
Bill was born January 6, 1945, in Kewanee, Missouri, the son of James Pressley and Nova (Rowland) Dufur. He married Billy “Elaine” Parks in July of 1963. She died in 1981. He then married Judith Holling on June 10, 1992, in Bennett, Iowa. She died April 21, 2019.
He worked for Sivyer Steel Corporation for 25 years. He went on to own and operate BNJ Mowing for 25 years before retiring.
Bill is survived by three children, Shawn Dufur of Irving, Texas, Brenda (Chalk) McLain of Blodgett, Missouri, and Sherry Dufur of Moline; two step-children, Richie Wixon of Milan, Illinois, and Lisa Wixon of Springfield, Oregon; grandchildren, Shawna Noel, Glory Wild, Elaina Dufur, Moriah Dufur, Nathan Dufur, Jacob McLain, Micah McLain, Joel McLain, Donny Allcock, Renee Allcock, and Amanda Diericx; many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jimmy Blaise of East Moline, and Jerry (Nancy) Dufur of Port Byron, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his wives and a daughter, Jerri Lynn Dufur.
