Constance C. Cox, 73, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away peacefully Sunday April 30, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
A Celebration of life will take place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Thunder Bay Grill 6511 N Brady St Davenport, Iowa. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House or the Humane Society of Scott County.
The former Constance Carol Coder was born August 8, 1949, in Davenport, Iowa, to Donald L. and Dorothy (Leitch) Coder. She married the love of her life, Dennis R. Cox, on May 23, 1970, in Rock Island, Illinois.
Connie held several jobs over the years, above those her most important job was taking care of her family. Connie was a wonderful wife, mother, “Nanny”, aunt and sister.
Connie and Dennis built a great life together, they were blessed with a beautiful family and countless great friends.
Connie enjoyed reading, watching movies, animals, Harley rides and time spent with family in Harpers Ferry, Panama City Beach and Georgia.
Connie had a caring heart, a beautiful soul and a smile that could light up any room. Connie will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Connie is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis; three children, Angie (David) Fritz of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Richard (Jackie) Cox of Des Moines, Iowa, and Kelly (Bo Cobb) Cox of Lula, Georgia; her grandchildren, Jennifer Schwab, Madison (Dean) Hawkins, Wyatt (Briana) Fritz and Walker (Caelan Whitfield) Cobb; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Sophia and Tyson; sister, Sherri (Ron) Stafford; and many other beloved family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian Cox; sister, Maria Smith; and many dear loved ones.
