Darrell D. Hinden

Darrell D. Hinden, 53, of Milan, Illinois, died Thursday, June 24, 2021, at home.

Visitation is 10:00 a.m. until noon on Monday, June 28, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Darrell Dean Hinden was born February 7, 1968, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Darrell Dean and Sheila (Settles) Hinden.

He loved tinkering, working on, and detailing cars, going to car shows, and was an auto mechanic by trade. He also loved landscaping.

Darrell is survived by his mother and step-father, Sheila and Kenneth Ostofi of Durant, Iowa; three sons, Tim, Cody, and James Hinden; a daughter, Elisha Hinden; his beloved grandchildren; his companion, Kim McKeag of Milan; step-siblings, Julie and Jimmy Hinden; his aunt and uncle, Glena Settles, and Sonny (Debbie) Settles; and several nieces and nephews including Bob and Dan Houk. He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Hinden; his grandmother, Helen Settles; a step-grandmother, Irene Ostofi; and several aunts and uncles including a special uncle, Rick Goins.
