Frank E. Elkins

Frank Ed Elkins, 75, of Davenport, Iowa, died Monday, December 16, 2024, at home.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Frank was born January 17, 1949, in Lafayette, Indiana, the son of Frank Sr. and Betty (Greene) Elkins. He married Bonnie Anderson on October 24, 1982, in Wheaton, Illinois. He worked at K’s Merchandise as a manager for over 30 years. 

Frank enjoyed everything to do with motorcycles. He enjoyed racing them, working on them and even rebuilt motorcycles over his lifetime. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his close friends and family. 

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Elkins; his children, Tara Elkins, Lela (Eric) Hamann and Jill (Brian) Graham; his grandchildren, Hudson Hamann, August Hamann, Neally Goodman, Payton Wilson, Bobby Goodman, Alexis Goodman, Stella Thrift and Sadie Thrift; 3 great-grandchildren; his sister, Jean (Don) McKinnis; and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Frank Thrift.
