Janet R. Valencia

Janet R. Valencia, 65, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Muscatine, Iowa, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019, at home after battling cancer.

The family will hold a gathering at a later date to celebrate Janet’s life.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Janet was born March 12, 1954, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of David and Carol Galloway.

She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend.  She loved to spend time with her family.  Her children and grandchildren were her world.

Janet will be missed by her children, David Kilburn of Muscatine, Iowa, Jaremiah (Becca) Atkins of Auburndale, Florida, Misty (Gary) Manard of Davenport, Cassie (Randy) Rowe of Muscatine, and Quintin Lyman of Muscatine; grandchildren, Keegan, Nellie, James, Meeya, Conner, C.J., Zach, Carmon, and Brodie; sisters, Twila Galloway of Davenport, Barb (Randy) Post of Tipton, Iowa, and Lori (Jan) McIntyre of Conesville, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, David Galloway and Carol (Charlie) McIntyre; and siblings, David Galloway, Anita Bolken, and Charlie McIntyre; a step-sister, Cheryl; along with uncles, aunts and grandparents.

The family would like to give special thanks to the team at UnityPoint Hospice for their support.  We will all carry your memory in our hearts!
