John T. "Jack" Swiatkiewicz

John T. “Jack” Swiatkiewicz, 85, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, at Allure of Moline, East Moline, with family looking after him.

John Thomas Swiatkiewicz was born May 21, 1938, in LaSalle-Peru, Illinois, the son of Stanley and Mary (Schudlock) Swiatkiewicz.  He married Mary “Joyce” Coop on May 7, 1960, in Rock Island, Illinois.  They then welcomed their daughter, Diana, on August 12, 1961.

Jack was self-employed his whole life, opening a gas station, developing his Hog Hutch business, opening and running print shops, and selling properties.  He was creative, hard working, and liked being an entrepreneur.  He enjoyed working and living in Florida, as well.

Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce; his special granddaughter, Shelby Swiatkiewicz-Campbell; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom he really enjoyed.  Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Diana; and all but one sibling.

No services will be held at this time.  Family will have a gathering at a later date.
