Karen E. Clark

Karen Elaine Baker Prescott Clark, age 83, of Aledo, Illinois, died Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities,

She was born in Galesburg, Illinois, and moved to Los Angeles, California, then later returned back to Illinois to live. She enjoyed traveling and had traveled to Europe and several areas of the United States. Closer to home she enjoyed gardening and nature. While she couldn’t carry a tune herself, she enjoyed musicals with Fiddler on The Roof being her favorite. During her careers she was an LPN at Kewanee Hospital and also one of the first women welders at Hyster Corp in Kewanee.

She was preceded in death by her father Paul Baker, her mother Florence Frankenstein; her daughter Sandra Prescott Nelson; grandchildren Ashley Thurston and Jessica Nelson. She was one of six children all of whom survive her. She is survived by her children Pamela Prescott Schneider, Tammy Prescott-Torrella (Thomas), and Jean Prescott Rahimzadeh. She enjoyed her time spent with her twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Everyone that knew her described her as a “nice person”. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
