Lavene Phillips

LaVene (Beanie) Phillips, 75, of Davenport, Iowa, died Monday, September 5th, 2022, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

LaVene Phillips was born August 23, 1947, in Spirit Lake, Iowa, the daughter of John R. Getting and Donna Gort. She retired from working at Northwestern Bell after 35 years. After retiring she spent 20 years in Yuma, Arizona.

She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, jewelry making, or doing anything crafty.

LaVene is survived by her husband, Michael Phillips; children, Parris (Jim) Rappel, Michael Phillips, Danielle (Jim) Kent, and Nicole Phillips; an Honorable daughter, Tracy (Barry) Buckley; grandchildren, Zachary Rappel and Peyton Phillips; siblings, Rocky (Judy) Getting, Greg (Becky) Getting, and Doug (Kay) Getting, and several nieces and one nephew. She is preceded by her parents.
