Loyd Otts

Loyd Otts, 79, of East Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, October 10, 2020, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Loyd was born June 30, 1941, in Guin, Alabama, the son of Felix Albert and Verla Mae (Johnson) Otts. He worked at JI Case and Peterson Parking Lot Striping, Inc.

He enjoyed playing pool and golfing. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Loyd, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Loyd is survived by three daughters, Charmin Otts of Port Richey, Florida, Carmen Otts of Inverness, Florida, and Lori (Todd Matthews) Prior of East Moline; grandchildren, Shawna (Krystal) Carmack, Tony (Trisha) Fritz, Travis (Jamie) Wilson, Nicole (Santos) Wilson, and Brooke (Tyler) Holzman; great-grandchildren, Dakota, KaiRyn, Lauren, Lexi, London, Lakelyn, Brinley, Riley, and Nash; and siblings, Albert “Elvis” Otts of Davenport, Iowa, Ricky Otts of Guin, and Doris Cannon of Guin. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Dorothy “Dot” Collins, Linda “Jeannie” Mitchell, Linda O’Mary, and Roger Otts.
