Maria T. Pacheco

Maria T. Pacheco, 72, of Davenport, Iowa, died Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Maria was born September 3, 1947, in Moroleon, GTO, Mexico, the oldest of nine children of Preciliano Pacheco Vallejo and Maria de Jesus Pacheco Zavala.

She loved taking care of her plants and garden, knitting, and watching Mexican soap operas. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Maria, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Maria is survived by three children, Lucia Mendez and Laura Mendez of Davenport, and Salvador Mendez of Nashville, Tennessee; her mother, Maria de Jesus Pacheco Zavala “Mama Chucha”; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 7 siblings; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister.
