Michelle M. Piatt

Michelle M. Piatt, 61, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Bettendorf.

A gathering to celebrate Michelle’s life will be announced in the near future. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Scott County.

Michelle Marie Piatt was born October 19, 1963, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Terry Keith and Carol Lee (Fischer) Piatt. She graduated from Bettendorf High School and went on to earn her nursing degree from Scott Community College.

She was passionate about her career in nursing. She enjoyed helping others at several places over the years, spending 18 years at Illini Restorative Care in Silvis, Illinois. She enjoyed gambling and spending time with her family.

Michelle is survived by two children, Brandy (Willie Lee Parks, Jr) Parks of Bettendorf, and Tyler Waeyaert of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren, Justina Still, Willie L. Parks III, and Carlene Parks; great-grandson, Bo Still; sister, Valerie Bain of Silvis; and a niece, Becky Bain; her companion of over 26 years, Randy Waeyaert; her cat, Sasha; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; nephews and niece, Travis, Heather and Nathan Bain; and dogs, Lady and Sassy.
