Nancy J. Inch Fitzgerald, 72, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Cedarhurst Senior Living, Moline.
Services are 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation will follow until 6:00 p.m. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Private burial is in Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The former Nancy Jean Inch was born February 7, 1950, in Moline, the daughter of Francis Warren and Evelyn May (McCulley) Inch. She married Gerald Fitzgerald and the couple had two children before separating.
She worked as a teacher in Texas for many years, and loved helping her students, especially with English as a second language. She enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Nancy is survived by two children, Justin and Shawna Fitzgerald of Texas; several grandchildren; siblings, Sharon (Mike) Kerofsky of Moline, and Terry (Linda Work) Inch of Moline; her significant other, John Douglas Vivan of Texas; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Sue “Boomer” Greene of Rock Island. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Francis Inch, Jr.
