Robert F. Denicus

Robert F. Denicus, 67, of Davenport, Iowa, died Sunday, June, 26, 2022 at University of Iowa Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 16, in the lower level of Trimble Pointe, CityView Celebrations, 701 12th Street, Moline, Illinois, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The family invites friends to dress casual or wear your favorite sports team jersey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kings Harvest Pet Rescue.

Robert Floyd Denicus was born February 14, 1955, in Pekin, Illinois, to Floyd and Jeanette (Simpson) Denicus. He married Marty Schlotfelt on June 21, 1980, in Clinton, Iowa. He worked at John Deere Parts in Milan, Illinois, and previously worked for Caterpillar as well as Nevada Bob’s Golf repairing golf clubs and working in golf sales.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, coaching softball, Nascar, playing poker with friends, and participated in bowling leagues. He was also an avid Chicago Bears and Iowa Hawkeyes’ fan.

Robert is survived by his wife, Marty; and his two daughters, Rachel (Tony Hoffman) Denicus of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Jenna Denicus of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his parents.
