Robert L. Miller Jr.

Robert L. Miller Jr., 72, of Davenport, Iowa, died Monday, November 18, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society, Davenport.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Robert enjoyed participating in the Toys for Tots Motorcycle Run. In lieu of memorials please feel free to donate to Toys for Tots in memory of Robert. 

Robert Lee Miller Jr. was born February 29, 1952, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Robert Sr. and Loretta (Worrel) Miller. He worked in sales for 25 years. Following his sales career he worked his favorite job as a driver at The Fountains Senior Living in Bettendorf. 

Robert was a member of Bettendorf Presbyterian Church, Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and Masonic Bend of the River Lodge #626. He enjoyed doing wood work, pheasant hunting, racing dirtbikes in his younger years and watching the Minnesota Vikings. 

He is survived by his son, Travis Ford; step-children, Sarah (Greg) Van Bladel and John (Michelle) Lewellan; grandchildren, Sophie Van Bladel, Max Van Bladel, Colin Lewellan and Caitlin Lewellan; sister, Carol (Harry) Sturges; nieces, Patty Sturges, Debby Sturges, Valerie (Angie) Kounkel and Jody (Dan) Swensen; and nephews, Dennis (Shawnda) Sturges and Neal (Jill) Kounkel. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sherrill Kounkel; and brother-in-law, Dean Kounkel.
