Rodney H. Britton

Rodney H. Britton, 70, of East Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Rodney Harold Britton was born September 24, 1952, in Moline, the son of Thomas and Charlotte (Conn) Britton.  He married Sally A. Dietz on September 10, 1983.  She died June 30, 2019.

Rodney and Sally enjoyed spending time with family and friends at a number of campsites in Illinois and Wisconsin.  They were members of the Silvis Area Eagles #1839.

He enjoyed fishing and Nascar.

Rodney is survived by siblings, Charlie (Joan) Britton of Colona, Illinois, Connie Yager of Colona, Arlene Showalter of Bradenton, Florida, Jim (Jeannie) Britton of Colona, and Steve Britton of Sumter, South Carolina; a brother-in-law, Don Hakeman; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sally; a sister, Donna Hakeman; and a brother, Gary Britton.
