Stephen A. “Kenny” Iverson, 81, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, October 20, 2022, at home.

A gathering to celebrate Kenny’s life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, at Chuck’s Tap in Davenport. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Kenny was born February 19, 1941, in Davenport, the son of Clarence and Eva Ardic (Bell) Iverson. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years and went on to work as a truck driver for Harvest Day Bakery in Rock Island for over 20 years.

He loved going to the grocery store and talking to everyone, looking at cars, and watching for eagles. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Nascar fan. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Kenny, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Kenny is survived by three children, Teresa Iverson of Davenport, Yvonne Abendroth, and James Iverson; grandchildren, Kenny (Brianna) Iverson, Karie Iverson, Bobbi (Joe) Brooks, James (Julie) Iverson, Jr., and Katie (JD) Milhollin; and his sister, Darcy Edwards. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Sheila Smith and Jean Iverson.
