William A. Youngman, 87, of Davenport, Iowa, died Friday, November 1, 2024, at home.
Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.
William Archibald Youngman was born August 17, 1937, in Lockridge, Iowa, the son of Seaman and Edith (Deao) Youngman. He married the love of his life, Donna Appleby, on May 25, 1955, in Davenport.
He was a machinist and welder, working 20 years for Eagle Signal and 10 years for Caterpillar. He enjoyed playing the guitar, woodworking, and working on the farm. He also loved his many dogs over the years and spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 70 years, Donna Youngman; four children, William Youngman of Davenport, Laurie (Duane) Farris of Downing, Missouri, Anna (Jim) Waterman of Davenport, and Corinna Youngman-Johnson of Davenport; eight grandchildren, Melissa, Angela, Rachel, Jennifer, Duane, Jessica, Tiffany and Rebecca; many great-grandchildren; and his sister, Anna Sparks of Kirksville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Walter Youngman; and his son-in-law, Kendall Johnson.
